Note how many manufacturers decline to publish a speed figure — where that is the case we say so rather than estimating. The jump that matters most is from A3 desktop to 24-inch, because that is where a proper shaker and inline curing remove the manual powder step that caps how much one person can produce in a day.

What you actually spend to get started

Running costs: what it costs per print
Two of the three consumables can be calculated exactly from vendor pricing. The third — ink — genuinely cannot, because a dense full-coverage print may use several times what a thin line-art design uses:
- ●Film: $0.63 per A3+ sheet ($62.99 per 100). Ganging nine left-chest logos on one sheet brings this to $0.07 each.
- ●Powder: roughly $0.07 per transfer at $32.99/kg, or $0.06 at 20 kg pricing ($599.99).
- ●Ink: white is $99.99/kg and each colour $74.99/L. Consumption per print depends entirely on coverage and your RIP settings, so measure it rather than trusting a generic figure.
- ●Electricity: depends on your oven, press and local tariff — we have not measured this.

The cheapest machine on our verified list is the Procolored F8 Panda at $1,599, an A4 unit built on an Epson L800-series head. Below that price point you are into direct-import machines from marketplaces whose pricing and specifications we have not been able to verify from a manufacturer storefront, which is precisely why we do not list them.
The honest rule: buy cheap if you can afford to lose the money and treat it as tuition. Buy properly if the machine has to fill paid orders next week.
